Just came back from baksi camp yesterday.
I have a lot things need to be expressed!
1st,
Our theme for this camp is "save the environment".
so,
we reached the camp(wet land) on last saturday morning.
then the story begin!
until sunday evening,
we finally finish this camp n reached back to our hostel!
what I want to summarize for this camp is the way they(we) save the environment!
1st,
we planted around 100 trees,
BUT!!!
we cut down around 800 plants during our games!
2nd,
we said we want to love the environment~
do u know how we LOVE the environment??
we used polystyrene for every single meal including foods n drinks!
from breakfast until supper!
5 times we eat n drink per day!
n we hv around 200 members!
after we used the polystyrene,we just throw it away!
we didnt recycle,reuse or reduce!
can u imagine how many polystyene we used during this camp??
3rd,
since we hv a large number of students,
so we go there n back by 5 buses.
total 20 times!
becoz the buses fetch us to there n then go back to university again,
n sunday go there n fetch us back again!
A journey around 45 mins for each single jurney from our university!
Can u imagine how much petroleum we wasted??
4th,
About the game that organised by the committee right?
1 of the games is the collection of the rubbish...!
Each group need to collect at least 20 rubbish,
we hv 20 groups~
It is sound like a very good game n a very meaningful game!
but do U know??
the place that they ask us to collect rubbish is so clean until u cant even find an inorganic rubbish over there!
so??
what hv we decided to win the game??
WE CREATE RUBBISH!
which is we try to break our pens,plastic bags....that still can funtion!
so...
at the end!
we convert the things that we still can use to rubbish!
5th,
Do U know?
during the 2days 1 night camp,
how many new A4 papers we used for games?
we r not reusing the used A4 papers U know or not??
we just wasted the new A4 papers for a not interested game!
besides all the things I mention above,
we still do a lot things that distroy our environment!
just like the air condition in the hall is so cool when nobody is there!
So!
as a conclution!
this camp should change the theme!
from "save the environment" to "destroy the environment"!!
becoz at the end of the camp!
I do not learn n I dint do any things that is good to the environment!
